Frequently asked
Do I need an account?
No. Onboarding asks for a display language and then you can study. Game Center and iCloud backup are optional and stay off until you turn them on.
Where is my learning record kept?
On your device. Deleting the app deletes that copy with it. Turn on iCloud backup, or export a backup file from Settings, before you delete or replace your phone.
Do I need a Korean keyboard installed?
No. The Korean keyboard is part of the app, so you can type Hangul without changing anything in iOS Settings.
Why can I not open the Quiz tab?
Quiz builds sentence questions out of words you have already answered correctly, so it stays empty until you finish some study cards.
Can I change the meaning language later?
Yes, in Settings. Meanings are available in English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Spanish. Korean is not offered — a Korean gloss would give the answer away.
Why do I not see the 漢字語 decks?
They only appear when your display language is Japanese or Chinese, because they are built around reading hanja. Your record is kept, so switching back brings those cards with it.
The word is not being read aloud.
Check the sound setting in the app, your ringer switch, and the volume. Pronunciation uses the Korean voice built into iOS.
How do I stop the daily reminder?
Turn reminders off in Settings, or disable Danocado notifications in iOS Settings.
